Training Schedule
The academy runs on the following schedule:
- Tuesday to Saturday: Morning 7:00–9:00 AM & Evening 4:00–6:00 PM (both slots available)
- Sunday: Morning 7:00–9:00 AM only (used for make-up sessions and additional training)
- Monday: Closed
Students are expected to attend their allocated batch (morning or evening) consistently. A change of slot requires prior approval from Coach Prasad.
Attendance Policy
Consistent attendance is the single biggest factor in skill development. Students who attend every session within their batch consistently outperform irregular attendees, regardless of natural talent.
PKPF does not maintain a strict attendance percentage cut-off for continuation in the program, but poor attendance will be flagged by Coach Prasad in periodic one-on-one check-ins. Parents of junior students (6-17) may also be contacted if attendance patterns suggest the student is losing engagement.
Group Flex is charged per attended group session. A confirmed Group Monthly Pass reserves access to the agreed batch and ends at 20 attended sessions or its cycle expiry, whichever happens first. Missed-session and make-up treatment follows the rules below; there is no silent renewal.
Leave & Make-up Session Policy
PKPF recognises that students have commitments beyond cricket. The policies below distinguish between different types of absence:
Personal Leave
For a Group Monthly Pass, an absence without the required advance notice or an approved reason consumes one session credit. Students should notify PKPF as early as possible; attendance credits are not restored automatically.
Official Cricket Matches
A make-up may be considered for a pre-notified official school, district, club, or association match. It requires staff approval and available capacity, must occur within the same pass cycle, and does not roll over.
Exam Leave
Students expecting exam leave must notify PKPF at least one month in advance. An approved make-up may be arranged in an available standard or Sunday slot within the same pass cycle.
Last-minute exam leave does not qualify automatically. Every make-up depends on capacity and staff approval and never rolls over.
Prepaid Group Flex Bookings
A prepaid Group Flex booking cannot be cancelled or refunded after confirmation. If PKPF cancels a scheduled session, the academy will arrange the operational remedy directly.
Injury Policy
Cricket injuries happen. PKPF's policy distinguishes between short and prolonged absences to handle fees fairly:
- Minor injury (up to 8 days): Standard rules apply. The student resumes training when medically cleared. No fee adjustment for absences in this range.
- Severe or prolonged rest:
- Group Flex remains available at ₹1,000 per attended session for an interrupted or uncertain schedule.
- The ₹10,000 Group Monthly Pass is better value from session 11 and includes up to 20 attended sessions in its cycle.
To activate the pay-per-session option, speak to Coach Prasad at the start of the month in which the injury affects attendance. This must be discussed proactively — it cannot be applied retroactively after the month ends.
First aid is available on the ground. PKPF may pause participation or request professional clearance when a health or injury response requires review. The academy does not diagnose injuries or replace professional medical advice.
Discounts & Scholarships
PKPF may consider a discretionary concession case by case on the Group Monthly Pass only. A concession is not guaranteed, requires approval from Coach Prasad or authorized staff, and cannot be combined with another concession.
Sibling Discount
Families enrolling siblings on Group Monthly Passes may request a case-by-case review. Approval, amount, duration, and renewal are determined by Coach Prasad or authorized staff and confirmed in writing.
Talent / Rural Scholarship
Players may request a case-by-case concession review for exceptional talent or demonstrated financial need, including:
- Rural areas with limited access to quality cricket coaching
- Low-income families where the standard fee is genuinely unaffordable
Support is not automatic or guaranteed. Coach Prasad or authorized staff reviews the request and any relevant evidence. If approved, it applies only to the Group Monthly Pass, cannot be stacked with another concession, and is documented in the written quote.
Monsoon Training
The monsoon season in Pune runs approximately July to October (3–4 months). PKPF Cricket Academy does not take a monsoon break — training continues year-round through a combination of:
- Indoor nets: covered net sessions during heavy rainfall, maintaining batting and bowling work without interruption
- Outdoor setup on soil grounds: when the ground is wet but not unplayable, training continues on soil surfaces where players wear spikes for traction
Monsoon continuity is one of PKPF's key differentiators — students who train through the monsoon maintain their form and fitness while others in academies with monsoon breaks lose 3–4 months of development.
Schedule during monsoon remains the same (Tue–Sat morning and evening; Sunday morning). Individual sessions may shift between outdoor and indoor based on conditions, at Coach Prasad's discretion on the day.
Trial Equipment — BYOG Policy
PKPF Cricket Academy does not issue personal protective equipment. Enrolled players bring their own bat, pads, gloves, and helmet. Shared practice equipment may be used only during supervised academy drills.
For the free trial session:
- Bring your cricket kit if you have one — you will use it in the trial session
- If you do not own cricket equipment yet, bring sports shoes, comfortable clothes, and a water bottle — that is enough to complete the trial
- After the trial, Coach Prasad will provide specific guidance on exactly what kit to buy for your age group (bat size, pad type, helmet standard) before you spend any money
The academy provides bats and equipment for batting practice net sessions as part of its facilities; personal protective gear (pads, helmet, gloves) must be the student's own.
